Not Nice Spice
When I went searching for clean snacks, chia seed pudding made it’s way back onto our weekly lineup. I was remiss finding a cavity snug between two of Chickadee’s teeth. Honestly, she eats healthy but a truckload of fruit makes its way through our kitchen on the daily. A little morsel had been frequently tucking itself into a small gap between two side teeth. After kicking fruit to the curb, we’ve welcomed with open arms the world of raw milk! I never thought we’d be here since we’ve been strictly dairy-free for over a year. Not only has the raw milk helped her teeth we discovered Little Dude doesn’t break out in eczema when he eats fresh farm eggs and Little Old Man doesn’t thrash around in gas pains when he drinks raw milk. I’m rarely speechless but I cannot pick my jaw up off the floor right now! So we’ve added raw milk and taken out all bread products (gluten free breads, pretzels, breakfast foods, etc.), allowed only one fruit a day, added plenty of cod liver oil and a slew of other bits of goodness. This recipe gives her all the nutrient richness of raw milk, chia seeds and a low sugar fruit, raspberries. Check out the original recipe at The Hidden Veggies! Monica has variations to try with the pudding, as well as incredible vegan dishes that'll keep your family asking for seconds.
